What is Tile Art?

Tile art is a small arrangement of tiles, or in some cases a single tile, with a pattern or image painted on it. Tile art includes other tile-based art forms such as mosaics, micro mosaics, and stained glass.

Unlike mosaics, tile art may include larger previously decorated pieces of tiles. Mosaics use tessera pieces or another material to create a pattern from small components, while other methods such as carving, carving and molding can be used in tile art. While mosaics are considered a type of tile art, there are many other forms that are also considered tile art.

Many types of art can be considered #tile art. Different types of tile art have different characteristics and can be created in different mediums such as ceramics, porcelain, glass tiles and other tile mediums.

Many modern tile art designs are based on abstract and pattern-based designs. They are non-representational, unlike ancient forms of tile art, such as mosaics, which are often portraits or other forms of representational art. The design on a piece of tile art can be used as decoration, but can also represent an idea, philosophy, or convey a historical, religious or social meaning.

An example of this type of non-representational art is a series of tiles integrated into an interior or exterior design. The design of tile art is usually based on the theme of the surrounding design. Since the tiles are placed in the environment, they can be integrated seamlessly into the surrounding space.

Modern tile art serves many purposes. The general definition of tile art includes many different designs obtained with many mediums and various techniques and mediums. For example, tile art can be used to decorate one's home, but it should also be practical as a wall or flooring element as it can replace tiles in an interior design with tile art.

Tile art can also be used in the garden to complement the colors in plants and leaves.

Using modern printing technology, images can be digitally printed on a series of tiles.
